年代中,政府將考核電單車牌照事務交由香港駕駛學院專辦,燦基電單車行亦將考牌車生意結束,轉移開拓內地電單車市場。
Mid-1980s Chun Kee closed the business of organizing courses and
examinations for learners due to setting up of Hong Kong School of Motoring.
It started to develop the market of motorcycle business in Mainland China.

1985燦基電單車行成功取得內地的提單免稅進口電單車入境合約,將其業務推向第二個高峰。當時每年經燦基進口內地的外國電單車數目有四萬台之多,當中包括本田、鈴木及雅馬哈之電單車。此龐大數字亦帶來大量零件的需求。燦基亦接有多張零件訂單,更藉此機會直接接觸世界第一大廠本田技研工業株式會社。在此期間,連先生的三位千金及公子:Ophelia、Arion及Ben亦相繼加入燦基,業務亦更加蒸蒸日上。
1985Chun Kee successfully obtained the contract of Tax-free Bill of
Lading for Imported Motorcycle to Mainland China, which boosted up its
business to another peak. About 40,000 units of motorcycles per year were
re-exported to Mainland China from foreign countries via Chun Kee, including
motorcycles of Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha. The huge number of motorcycles in
Mainland China needed a huge amount of spare parts. Chun Kee received many
spare parts orders and it also gained an opportunity to directly contact the
largest motorcycle company in the world – HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.
During this period, Mr. Lin successively introduced his children, Ophelia,
Arion and Ben, to his business, and it was running larger and larger.

1993由於國內電單車駕駛者人數不斷增加,原藉潮州之連先生遂於粵東潮陽地區開設第一間本田原廠電單車維修中心。
1993Because of rising number of motorcycle riders in Mainland China, Mr.
Lin, whose native place is Chao Chou, has set up the first Parts and Service
Centre of Honda motorcycles in YueDong ChaoYang in Mainland China.

(銷售、零件、維修)
乃燦基自置物業,擁有30名專業電單車維修技師、零件及銷售人才,為當地用家提供優質服務。

Another Parts and Service Centre was set up in
Shantou, Guangdong. This is a 3 in 1 service centre (Sales, Parts, Service), which is
Chun Kee’s property, with about 6000 square ft. It has 30 professional
service mechanics, parts and sales experts, providing excellent services to
local riders.
