以操控好見稱的X7
250,在2010變身成為X7 300 EVO。新車的排氣量其實和Nexus

X7 Evo is Piaggio's compact GT
scooter: agile and compact, making it an effective tool for
carving through city traffic, but as
stable and protective as a maxi scooter. Outstanding performance
is ensured by a choice of 125 ie and 300 ie engines (4 stroke, 4
valve liquid cooled units), large diameter 13” and 14” wheels
and an intelligently designed, perfectly balanced chassis
architecture.
Piaggio X7 Evo is a solution for urban and metropolitan mobility
that combines the best characteristics of a diverse spectrum of
scooter genres. With its elegant and distinctive design and a
dry weight of just 159 Kg (161 Kg for the 300), Piaggio X7 Evo
fuses
the typical light weight and dynamism of an urban scooter with
levels of stability, handling and protectiveness which, until
now,
had been the sole domain of the much bulkier maxi scooter.
Style: created around the rider.
The design of the Piaggio X7 Evo was created around the rider:
the result is perfect ergonomics, for a vehicle that is
responsive
but comfortable and is fun but also easy to use in city traffic.
The lines of the Piaggio X7 Evo were sculpted around the rider:
an aerodynamic and protective leg shield, a windscreen mounted
on the handlebars and muscular, taut side fairing panels. The
rider sits within a cocooning space, becoming one with the
vehicle: the result is a scooter that feels almost as if you
wear it rather than ride it, which is simple and effective to
use.
The frontal view is defined by a large headlight creating a
strong family tie with the latest generation of Piaggio GT
scooters,
lending the Piaggio X7 Evo an aggressive look with a
deliberately glaring expression. The handlebar-mounted
windscreen continues the sleek lines of the leg shield
uninterruptedly to ensure maximum aerodynamic protection.
The side fairing panels, defined by simple yet decisive lines,
emphasise the dynamism of the vehicle and underscore its
imposing yet compact forms.
Even the large, comfortable saddle blends perfectly into the
forms of the new X7 Evo, while the low saddle height means that
riders can easily reach the ground in all conditions. The
footrest platforms and the centre tunnel are designed for
maximum comfort and sturdiness and, with the saddle and
handlebar layout, complete the ergonomic package of the Piaggio
X7 Evo conceived for absolute control.
Outstanding load carrying capacity is ensured by a generous
helmet compartment below the saddle, capable for holding two
helmets (one flip up and one jet helmet), without compromising
the sleek, compact proportions of the tail, which are in perfect
harmony with the rest of the vehicle. Additional load carrying
ability is offered by the new rear luggage rack with integrated
grab handles for the passenger.
Another practical touch is the electric fuel filler release
button, which is mounted on the handlebar to allow refuelling
without
getting off the vehicle. The minute attention to detail is even
evident in the instrument panel – angled toward the rider for
greater readability – offering a comprehensive array of
information and functions with elegantly sporty graphics
emphasised by chrome bezels.
Chassis and engines:sparkling performance in total safety.
The new Piaggio X7 Evo stands out from the crowd for its safety
and responsiveness in all conditions. Stable, agile, light and
protective, X7 Evo has been conceived to be used all year round,
both in the city and for extraurban commuting.
The frame, consisting of a double cradle in high strength steel,
is complemented by a sturdy hydraulic fork with 35 mm stanchions
at the front and a swingarm at the rear, which incorporates the
transmission and is linked to a pair of hydraulic shock
absorbers with adjustable spring preload offering 4 different
positions.
The five spoke alloy wheels stand out immediately not just for
their aggressive black colour but also for their diameter (14”
at
the front and 13” at the rear) and for the generous tyre sizes
used (120/70 and 140/60). The class-leading braking system is a
guarantee of safety for the Piaggio X7 Evo: with discs,
measuring 260 and 240 mm in diameter respectively, stopping both
the front
and the rear. Both discs are in steel and are arrested by
two-piston floating callipers. |

helmets, a windscreen in 4 mm thick metacrylate, a Tom Tom navigator, a
