CASTIGLION FIORENTINO (ITALY), 2nd July
2012 - This weekend, Metzeler won all
three categories through Eero Remes and
Antoine MEO in Enduro 1, with Cristobal
GUERRERO in Enduro 2, Christophe
NAMBOTIN and David KNIGHT in Enduro 3.
This
weekend was full of surprises for pilots
Metzeler. In the Enduro 3, while
Christophe NAMBOTIN knew a difficult
first day, this is David KNIGHT and his
Metzeler Six Days Extreme who have taken
over. Briton grabbed this weekend his
first win of the season.
The next
day, Christophe NAMBOTIN, Metzeler
rider, caught himself and gave the
victory to KTM. Faced with two Metzeler
riders, Joakim LJUNGGREN (Husaberg)
could not do better than two second
places so that Christophe NAMBOTIN score
the 15 points 3rd place on Saturday as
David KNIGHT on Sunday.
In Enduro
1, the raid was still in the Metzeler
rider. Despite a difficult start on the
first day, Antoine MEO and his Six Days
Extreme tires were able to look back and
bursting snatch victory on thefinal lap.
The next day, despite the mechanical
failure of MEO, it's his teammate Eero
REMES
who won
his first victory of the season and had
a second win in E1 to Metzeler.
For their
part, Rodrig THAIN (8 and 4) and Simone
ALBERGONI (5 and 6) experienced a
weekend a little more difficult.
In Enduro
2, Metzeler is also full with a
magnificent victory at the second day of
racing thanks to Cristobal GUERRERO. The
Spaniard, who saw on every day the
victory eluded him was able toward off
evil. The same GUERRERO, winner on
Sunday was also taking a strong second
place on Saturday and at the same time
takes the reins of the provisional
category.
Finally
in Junior, Kevin BENAVIDES from
Argentina (3/4) had an excellent weekend
while Rudi MORONI (8eme/5eme) was less
verve than in Portugal.
Weekend
once again filled with success for
Metzeler with 5 wins (REMES, MEO,
NAMBOTIN, KNIGHT, GUERRERO), two second
places (GUERRERO, BENAVIDES) and two
third row (KNIGHT, BENAVIDES).
The EWC
has now six weeks of rest before taking
the direction of Karlsborg in Sweden for
the Grand Prix of Sweden Husaberg.
