A master performance – China Honda’s Baoji Training course 一次优秀的 – 中国本田宝鸡培训课程

 
Baoji City in Shaanxi province is one of the cities in China that still has NO restrictions on Motorcycles usage and licensing, also Baoji and Shaanxi province neighbors to one of the biggest Motorcycle area in china’s Inland North West region. So it’s one of the strategic region for most of China’ s Motorcycle manufacturers.
 
The 2nd China Honda’s advance training course was decided earlier in the year to be held in Baoji city on 26-27/6/2010, and the only circuit available in Baoji is a 1.2 km long small bike and Go-kart circuit.
 
When BG’s tech staff were on site inspecting the circuit a week before the event,  it is to our dismay that the  Race track was quite run down and due to some track foundation distortions, there were a few major cracks with ridges  across some major part of the track.  A last minute emergency repair team was called in 4 days before the Training event and after a 18 hours per day team work, the track was finally temporary repaired and declared usable by the BG tech team.
 
The BG Pro team arrived at Xian, Capital city of Shaanxi province on Thursday 24/6/10 and was immediately transferred to Baoji by our partner in Xian to have a look at the repair work done to the circuit.
 
Due to Baoji’s no restrictions on Motorcycles, so it has a very healthy 2 wheel culture and many of the local bikers has already heard of the Training event and BG’s arrival, so on Friday when the BG team was at the Circuit preparing for the weekend’s training, a lot of local bikers came to greet us and as usual, a big dinner gathering was arranged by the locals biker groups and everybody get to know each other and great friendship were established.
 
At Sat morning, The track was a bit damp due to the rain in the night, the sky was overcastted and everyone was worried about further rain, but the overcast and rain the night before really cooled the temperature as we’re told that right before our arrival, Baoji was having some of the hottest days with temp as high as 35-36 Degree Centigrade.
 
This training event was attended by the most number of Honda dealers and their CBF150 Fight hawk biker clubs from many regions in the North West regions, there were a lot of old faces that we’d met at our Ningxia’s Yinchuan,  Sichuan’s Chengdu training last year and many new faces from various provinces around Shaanxi.
 
The Sat morning sessions lasted for 1.5 hours with Steven, Sammo and KC taking turns doing riding technique and demo on bikes, a lot of questions were asked and answered, everyone was in high spirit and cant wait to get on the track.
 
 
The 30 odd students were divided into 3 groups, KC and Sammo took turns to take them out to the track while Steven was in position in most of the corners showing the riders the correct racing lines to take and proper body positions, most of the riders has shown great improvements after their 3 track sessions and the day ended with everyone fully satisfied with their newly learnt skill and again, the BG team was mobbed by the local bikers and another big dinner was arranged.
 
 
On Sunday morning,  after a intense classroom sessions with more tech tips and on-bike demo,  the groups were again lead out to the track, this time, the instructors follow each rider randomly and took Video of their riding, then a debriefing was done after each session so most riders can see what  they need to correct and improve,  in the afternoon,  a 3 laps challenge race was  held for each riders group, 3 or 4 of the fastest riders was to be selected from each of the 3 groups so that 10 riders can join the final challenge event and 3 winners will be selected and sponsored by Honda China to race at the next Honda CBF150 One made race events at the Shanghai Tianma Circuit at late August.
 
 
The sudden rain during lunch hour gave everyone a scare as a wet track will cause havoc to the event, as if the gods also want this event to be perfect, rain quickly stopped and the track was more or less dried after lunch so that all the planned programs can be ran on time and smoothly.
 
As mentioned above, there were quite a few old faces from our last year’s training events and some of these riders has improved tremendously since, the Final 5 laps challenge race’s level is the highest we’d seen since we started operating these Honda-BG advance training courses,  the most surprising thing was, even the new and 1st time riders had shown great improvements from Sat morning to Sunday afternoon, more than of these new riders has shown such improvements that most were hanging off in corners and many even get their 1st knee down experience.
 
The Final Race was won by 2 local young riders and 3rd goes to a rider from Yinchuan, the winners were surrounded by Hundreds of the Honda dealers and bike club members who’d attended the event, the Weekend’s event ended with our Stunt Pro Sammo performing again his great stunt with approvals from the few hundred spectators at the event.
 
 
After the day is over,  some of Honda’s major dealers also would like to experience track riding and since BG’s 2 instructors has been on the bike non-stop for 2 days and is physically exhausted, so BG boss Steven have to put on his leathers and take these dealers out to the track for a track session.
 
 
The 26-27/6/2010 event was the best Honda-BG training event ever, Honda’s local dealer has done a great job by promoting this event and during a rest period after lunch, Honda Baoji dealer has organized many of the local Biker groups to come to the event and a few hundred bikes parade around the track for a few laps.
 
The evening Banquet was held at the scenic mountain top of Baoji where everyone sat outdoor and the scenery looking down at the whole of Baoji city was breathtaking, Everyone was in great spirit as all had a great 2 days at the event and the BG team hardly ate as every biker group and riders wanted to have their picture taken and their shirts autographed by BG’s Instructors and tech team, promises were made that we’ll see each other again soon in the next Honda training events.

4) Many of Baoji’s bikers friends of BG for their voluntarily work during the weekend.
 
These Honda track riding training course has been gaining strength to strength as the success of every event has reached to more and more bikers allover China, the scale of these training courses and the number of attendance has also increased immensely and the level of riding has improved so much that everyone was surprised at what these average street riders can achieve within a short weekend.
 
These regional track riding training course will definitely raise the interest of many riders in each of these regions especially on the younger riders, we’re hoping that with the increased number of riders who is excited about track riding and with support from all official and commercial quarters, 2 wheels motorsport can be spread around to more regions in China and more regional race events will be possible so that we can have a much bigger number of riders to participate in more event and races.
 陕西省宝鸡市是国内为数不多的还未禁摩和允许摩托车上牌的城市之一,宝鸡市和陕西省周边地区也是中国西北内陆最大的摩托车集散地,因此这里成为了中国摩托车生产商的必争重地。



因此,今年在年初时 中国新大洲本田就决定将本年度第二次高级赛道培训课程设在宝鸡,日期就定在2010年6月26-27日,地点就在宝鸡唯一全长1.2公里的小型摩托和卡丁车的渭水乐园赛车场。

 

培训开始前一周,BG技术人员到现场堪查赛道,结果 令我们十分惊讶,由于年久失修, 赛道一些路面因冷缩热涨而有龟裂,形成有一些大的裂缝横穿赛道而回做成危险,最后在个人相讨下,在培训开始前的4天决定找来紧急维修施工队队,每天工作18个小时,终于在最后一天将赛道修理完毕,经BG技术团队确认后,赛道可以使用。
BG专业培训团队在2010年6月24日抵达陕西省首府西安市,之后立即搭乘我们在西安合作伙伴的轿车赶往宝鸡,查看已完成修理的赛道。



由于宝鸡没有禁止摩托车,因此有非常健全的2轮文化和当地许多摩托车友早已听说这次培训活动,并知道BG的到来,因此,当星期五BG团队来到赛道为周末的培训做准备的时候,许多当地车友赶来探访,跟以前培训课程一样,当地车友们组织了大型的晚餐集会,以便大家可以相互了解和建立更好的友谊。



在我们来到宝鸡之前这里的气温连续高达35-36℃, 但在星期六早上,由于昨晚下过雨以致赛道有少许湿,天空也较密云而令到每个人都十分担心会再下雨,但阴天和昨晚的降雨却起到了降温的作用,当天的清凉气温加上微风令到所有人都觉得极为舒适。

参加这次培训活动的学员全部是新大洲本田的经销商和CBF150战鹰俱乐部会员,他们来自西北好几个省份。其中更有 许多参加了去年我们在宁夏银川和四川成都举办的培训老面孔,但也有不少来自陕西周边各省份的新面孔。

星期六早上的课室培训历时1个半小时,Steven、三毛和KC轮流在摩托车上示范驾驶技巧,学员提出了不少问题,教练们也一一解答,每个人都兴致勃勃,迫不及待地想上赛道。

差不多30位学员分成3组,KC和三毛轮流带着学员上赛道,同时Steven在各个弯角向学员指示正确的驾驶线路和正确的身体姿势,在进行了3节赛道驾驶后,大多数学员的驾驶水平有了明显提高。一天的培训结束后,每个人都十分满意他们所学到的新技巧。当晚,当地车友又为BG团队安排了一场大型晚餐。

星期天早上,经过了更深入的课堂教学和车上示范后,教练再次带领各学员上到赛道,这次教练在车上装了录影机和 跟着任一位学员并拍摄他们的驾驶录像,然后在每节赛道结束后做讲解和视频总结报告,因此学员们能清楚地看到哪里需要改进和提高。


下午,每个组别分别举行了3圈的選拔赛,选出前3或是前4的学员,这样就有10位学员参加最后的总挑战赛,总挑战赛最前的3名学员将得到中国新大洲本田的赞助参加8月份在上海天马山赛车场举行的CBF150单一品牌赛事。



午餐前突然下起了雨,这令到每个人都十分担心,湿滑的赛道将会破坏这次培训活动,好在天公作美,老天爷仿佛也想让这次培训画上完美句号,雨很快就停了,午餐结束后,赛道已经没那么潮湿,一切按计划顺利进行。



正如上面所提到,有许多参加去年培训的学员参加了这次培训,他们的驾驶水平比去年有了惊人的提高,最后的5圈挑战赛所呈现的水准,是历届新大洲本田-BG高级培训课程中最高的。令人惊讶的是,就算是首次参加培训的新学员,在经过了周末两天的培训后,驾驶水平也有极大的改善。新学员中有超过四分之三可以做到在过弯时移动身体,有的甚至做出了生平第一次膝盖滑行快在弯道地面上磨搽。

在最后的决赛,宝鸡当地的两位年轻车手分获一、二名,第三名由来自银川的车手获得,参加这次培训的几百位本田经销商和俱乐部会员纷纷向他们表示祝贺。BG的特技专家三毛再次表演了他拿手的特技动作,令到现场一片叫好声。

一天的培训结束,一些本田的经销商也想体验一下赛道驾驶,由于BG的两位教练经过两天密集的赛道培训已是精疲力竭,因此BG领导Steven亲自披甲上阵,带领合指导这些经销商家如何在赛道上跑。

2010年6月26-27日的本田-BG培训课程是最棒的一次培训,当地的新大洲本田经销商为这次活动所做的推广工作令人激赞,他们组织了许多当地车友团来参加这次活动,在午餐后的休息时段里,几百名车友骑着他们的摩托车在赛道做巡游了几圈。

晚宴设在宝鸡一处风景优美的山顶的户外,而可以向下俯瞰让人禁不住屏住呼吸的整个宝鸡市美景,为期两天的培训,大家都过得非常愉快,晚宴上每个人都兴致高昂,BG团队几乎没有吃饭的时间而需要不停与各车友和团体共 照和在他们的衣服上签名留念,大家相约尽早在下次新大洲本田培训课程再见面。

由于每次新大洲本田-BG活动的成功举办,全国各地接触这项活动的车友越来越多,使得新大洲本田赛道培训课程逐次壮大,培训的规模以及参加培训的车手都有大幅增加,车手的驾驶水平在培训后都有明显提升,这些普通的街道车手仅在一个短短的周末就能达到如此的水准,令每个人都感动惊讶。

这些全国性的赛道培训课程确实能够培养起该地区许多车友对摩托车运动的兴趣,特别是那些年轻车手,我们希望随着对赛道驾驶感兴趣的车手数量的增多,以及官方和商业团体的支持,2轮赛车运动可以传播到国内更多地区,使更多地区性的赛事可以成功举办。这样,将会有更多的摩托车爱好者前来参加更多的活动和比赛。
