It was a rather dumb accident. It had happened 9 years ago
when I bought my first bike. I rode the baby ninja for the first
1000 miles without any incident. However, on a sunny morning, I
was riding down hill past my friend's house and saw him hanging
out there. So I've decided to wave hello to him and subsequently
turn my body to the right and gestured. As I was also
approaching the stop sign, I used my rear brake to
"slow" down the bike while my body was still turned to
the right. Lo and behold, the rear wheel locked and the rear
tire started to skid. The bike skid for about 8 feet and
collasped on me. My buddy rushed to my rescue and helped me lift
the bike up. |

| My body was essentially unscathed with only minor bruises on the thigh area.The bike suffered a broken clutch lever, right side mirror was pushed into the upper fairing, 2 shatterd signal lamps. | |

| Like what i mentioned
earlier, i felt kinda stupid for dropping my bike at such as
slow slow speed. I think i was going less than 15 mph at the
time. My friend was dumbfounded to see me fall like that. |

| This crash has caused me
to be scared of using the rear brake. Now, I am extremely
carefully in trying apply balanced brake pressure on both
wheels. |

| This incident has taught
me to pay attention to the condition of the road and the physics
of the bike 100% of the time. Use your eyes and brains to
control the bike and monitor the road. |
