駕駛車款: Suzuki GS500
製造年份: 2001
意外種類: 自己炒低
車主: Wai
事發經過:
Time : 7 Apr 2003, 9:15 am
Location: Man Yiu Street, Central (from Island pier to exchange
sq., near IFC II)
I was at the right lane and a black 4x4, license no. AR8xx. (not
remember exactly) was in front of me. There were a lot of
vehicles moving slowly at left lane.
After the traffic light, the 4x4 cutted into left lane, so I
intended to go straight thru' the right lane passing it.
However, after 1 to 2 seconds, the 4x4 changed mind and cutted
back into right lane again (still in front of me). I was not
driving fast (10 to 20 km/h i think). We're very close and I
braked instantly. The ground was wet and slippery. May be my
driving skill is also not good enough. The front tyre skidded
and I dropped. The 4x4 didn't stop and ran away. Luckily, there
were some construction workers working at the pedestrians
nearby. I waved to them and they came to help me immediately.
They helped me to push my bike aside, calm me down. After
several minutes of rest, I continued my journey.
人命財物傷亡損毀:
Myself: my right knee was hurted. Trousers were broken with a
big hole.
Bike: Clutch Brand Plate detached, muffler scratched, and some
other minor scratches near the hand bar. The steering was not
aligned straight. Not sure if there are any other damage.
當時感受:
It happened so quick. Not much time to think. But I can still
remember the bike was on my right feet and kept scratching the
ground.
Aiiii, it's my turn finally. After examine my injury, I was
thinking: can I drive the bike to company ? If not, what can I
do ? who shall I call ?
事後影響:
1. I'll try to avoid driving on wet ground.
2. There are so many unexpected events on the road. It's so hard
to predict or prevent. It just allow us NO time to react.
3. Safety wearings are very important. My glove saves my hands.
My boots saves my feet and knuckle. My feet and knuckle was not
hurted (although pressing by my bike and scratched on the
ground), but my leather boot was scratched severly and changed
shape.
4. I was really touched by the help of those construction
workers. If any one see this and know them, please pass my
deepest graditude to them. They are so kind and helpful. Thanks
a lot !!
肇事原因及教訓啟示:
Extremely Extremely careful on wet ground. I'm quite sure I
won't fall if the ground is dry. And should keep a more safety
distance from other vehicles.
鐵騎快語:
Poor Guy!! Wish you get well soon. Don't be over-reacted
next time and you need to study how to brake in wet :) Cheers
