油缸和座墊也是新設計,配合兩頭窄中間粗的Tapered轉向把手,駕駛姿勢更舒適,操控更容易。MT-07雖然比起MT-09少一個汽缸,馬力細了,車架、制動和避震的用料也變得普通了,但換來較輕巧的操控,更相宜價錢和更佳油耗表現。
提高循跡性能

Crossplane直二引擎最值錢的地方是擁有270度曲柄,配合不平均點火時間,加強引擎的脈動表現,也能提高扭力及循跡性能,讓排氣聲更有生命力。
比直四400多出近一倍輸出
引擎最佳出力在4千至八千轉之間,輸出也有七十多匹,扭力有接近7kg-m。比起以前的直四400街車,多出近一倍的輸出。而且直二引擎低扭較佳,都市代步或跑山嘆彎更有衝刺感。
