2018 EUROPEAN ADVENTURE RALLY在6月20日開始，一連三天在撒丁島奧爾比亞舉行。令人驚喜的是廠方把Preproduction的790
Adventure R也拿出來招待一眾賓客，讓參加者可以提早體驗790 Adventure的威力。 在撒丁島奧爾比亞上，盡是各種海景沙道，曲折的山口和極端越野路線與未開發的地形，正好讓大家盡情體驗到新車的能耐。 |

八屆新西蘭Enduro冠軍Chris Birch也有份試騎790 Adventure，他說：“I’m
honestly blown away by the new KTM 790 ADVENRTURE R. Naturally,
I’ve got a lot of experience on enduro bikes and the awesome ability
of the big KTM ADVENTURE models, and this just feels like the
perfect combination of them both.
Obviously, what I rode is still a prototype, but it´s looking in terrific shape. Can’t wait to ride the final product!” |

電單車最難做的部份便是引擎，既然KTM開發了全新LC8c直二799cc機器，怎可能只得一臺街車790 Duke呢？隨著790
Duke正式成為2018上架作品之後，歷奇車種790 Adventure R也隨即以概念車現身，預計會在2019年正式今售。 790 Adventure R是用作填補690 Enduro R和1090 Adventure R之間的空檔。直接對手是2017 BMW F850GS，兩車都是直二引擎，定位也是輕量化中距離的林道多用途車種。廠方強調他們的作品永遠都有一份Ready To Race的精神，所以790 Adventure R也是一臺動感操控和擁有優異馬力重量比的歷奇車。 |

| 新車並會引入大量電子系統，包括不同動力模式，適合越野車便用的Traction Control和ABS。頭尾WP避震的規格也可能是電子避震。不過BMW會在2018年推出F850GS，重新訂立了產品水準。再加上Yamaha在今年也展出完成度非常高的概念車Tenere 700，忽然之間中量級歷奇車市場變得熱鬧起來。 | |

| 其實以生活在都市的騎士來說，太重型的歷奇車便像用牛刀殺雞的感覺。反而重量輕一點，車身細一點的歷奇車，在城市中揮酒更自如，使用更輕鬆。所以中量級歷奇車對進階或資深騎士來說，也是一個很實用的選擇。 | |
